Yes on both accounts. As a fully registered buildert I am able to supply warranty insurance and excellent building practices.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I am clever with my hands and mind and love designing/making things! I have built hotrods, boats, high class boat trailers; had an engineering business in Moorabbin, exported/designed roller systems to Indonesia and now build homes/renovations

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Yes, the drawings on a particular job were done by the son who happened to be an architect! He declined to help me and I then had to "solve" the huge skylight profile by myself. Initially the client hated it and wanted it removed! I agreed but simply said: "Let's give it 24 hours thinking time- I will do what you want! Needless to say the skylight is a feature'the client loves it and I got paid all monies! We are great friends and I am there whenever more building needs to be done!

What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy very much working with people;tradesman and solving problems with each construction task! Life is about solving problems and I have the necessary people around to help if for some reason I need extra input!

Every customer should ask for my registration card and see evidence that I am indeed an RBP (Registered Building Practitioner.) A Master Builder simply belongs to a union and doesn't have any insurances!

Customers invariably ask me how long will it take and what are my qualifications. Sometimes references are asked for and I readily provide them for the respective client!

Simply put I am a man of integrity and live by the spoken word! In return I need the same reciprocated by EVERY client. I chose my 'every' client on the basis that we can work together and I will fulfill my part of the contract by doing what has been agreed and in return the client pays the necessary progress payments.

The main reason would definitely be that I have been a Secondary Teacher all my life and continue to use those skills on the worksite.Many of my tradesman are some of my ex students!! We work very well together.h

Engineeriwng drawings/ Draftsman/Architect drawings. Area clean of personal belongings before works commence!

If the works are extensive then maybe another place of abode for a period of time for the renovations to take place! 2. To not try and help! 3. To be available to answer any questions that I may have-daily!

The end result is always what the client has asked for. Sure are problems on the way but through discussion and continual consultation they are quite prepared to pay the price!! Always there are agreements made.

Via a quotation system which I continue to develop and condense to make it easier and simple for all to follow, understand and appreciate!!

Liasing with clients and what the process is with building their particular project and allaying any fears that they may have about this process and about me in particular. I develop a relationship as quickly as I can with the client!

Simply review my website and look at the skills that I have acquired of many many years!!! I continue to study and learn and am beginning to Teach Building and Construction at TAFE Colleges whilst learning to fly Helicopters!!!
