Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

We have a public liability insurance, up to 10 million dollars, and apart from our personal guarantee there is manufacturers guarantee which covers all the aspects of the window coverings. For most of the blinds guarantee is 2 years on parts and labour and in particular PLANTATION SHUTERS are guaranteed from 7 to 10 years.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Started in the blinds manufacturing company making all sorts of blinds, then progressed to sales department after which I decided to learn the installation process because I believe that if I don't know how it works I wouldn't be able to advise potential customer on what is the best for their window coverings solution.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Just recently a customer ordered a BLOCKOUT roller blinds throughout the house and when i installed them a few weeks later he discovered that he can't see trough the blinds, he was expecting see trough blinds, being in part my fault for not properly explaining the difference i replaced those blockout blinds with e screens with no extra cost.

What do you like most about your job?

Variety of the work. I can get almost claustrophobic if I do the same day after day work. This work is actually giving me a pleasure of meeting new people on a daily basis.

In my industry, experience is a great advantage, so the customer should seek an experienced person. Of great importance is also ability of the professional to explain in plain words what it takes in order to achieve the best outcome for the window solution. I would always as a rule go for a smaller operator simply because that operator is the one answering the phone and takes care of the job form start to finish, and also much more affordable than big companies.

Most customers ask how soon i can install their window coverings and my answer is in most cases two to three weeks, and also they ask why my price is much cheaper than others and as a rule my answer is i do everything myself and i am happy with little bit less margin.

I have great experience gained by working in all aspects of the industry, from the role of windows decorator, to adviser to the public and the commercial customers, and installation for various companies.

I have clear understanding of the interior and exterior window covering industry because I was working for all the major players in Victoria and knowing that in many cases price is an issue but service and knowledge prevails.

If its new house, is it finished and how ling before the customer moves in. A great help is always if customer has an idea of what kind of window coverings they want, and of course budget.

Tip number one: Don't commit to anything before you talk to us, there is a big chance that you will save a great deal of money and worries. Tip number two: Try to make up your mind on what would you like to see on your windows then again if you don't i will be most likely able to show you all the possible options. Tip number three: Offer me a coffee, that always works.
