Incredibly responsive. After getting the run around from multiple plasters who wouldn’t even show up for scheduled quoting meetings, I gave BM Plastering a call and Ben came over to quote the job THE SAME DAY! Really competitive quote, and offered to start the same week. I had a whole floor of our home which needed re-plastering, square setting and shadow gapped skirting board all done in a very short time frame (before our kid came along). This wasn’t a small or simple job, but BM handled it with ease. Ben and his team were amazing. Location: South Morang, VICJob Description: hello my name is Tiffy I'm totally blind and hearing-impaired, and even though the form said that I need a repair which I do, at the moment I just need an inspection/valuation of my bathroom in my ground floor apartment which has had significant water damage thanks to a leaky basin at least 2 years ago! The basin started leaking in January 2023 and unfortunately because I'm totally blind I couldn't see the leak and therefore I didn't know The leak not only decimated my bathroom wall at the bottom where the pipe goes which until yesterday I didn't know it was plasterboard, but it also smashed through the concrete and straight into the adjoining apartment of unit 2 and the tenants who live there one of them is pregnant and even though she doesn't live in the wardrobe, but there was black mould inside her wardrobe, and yesterday I found out that the plaster at the bottom half of the wall where the vanity sits was also covered in black mould and my plumber cut out the sheet yesterday and I think it's less than 1 square cubic metre but I don't know exactly how much he cut out and I wasn't game to feel it! I had to pay all up $3549 worth of damage including $2644 to the owner of the apartment for the damages that he had to get repaired, then there was $385that I was forced to pay to get the mixer and the Flexi hoses on my broken basin fixed when I was actually in the process of attempting to get a new basin at the time and this was last year, and then I had to pay $520 for the water leak report from jet blast drain cleaning, and Yarra Valley water did not tell me about a leak occurring until I blasted them for not telling me because it was the Real Estate agent managing the adjoining apartment who threatened to have me sued if I didn't pay even though I am on a disability support blind pension! That has all been paid up now and I now have the new vanity basin and everything I need, except until yesterday I didn't know that the bottom half of the wall where the basin will normally sit is plasterboard because the top half of the wall at the back is ceramic! i'm on the ground floor and I'm at the back of the complex! I don't have the money at the moment because the only money I have was for my plumber to install my new basin, but as I said that got put on hold when he discovered the black mould on the plasterboard, and I need to know how much you will charge me in order to replaster that bottom area and then I can tell you when I can put aside the money and when I can get it done! I've been wheezing and coughing like you wouldn't believe, and my lungs can't cope with anything like this any more! I'm 36 years old nearly 37 I live on my own and know I'm not on the NDIS and I'm not gonna talk about them! Also the best way for me to pay you is pay ID which means your mobile number is connected to your bank account and that way it would be easier for me to pay you and I'll know you've got it when I have the money! I need to make sure it's done properly so that I can get the basin in as soon as I'm able to! I also don't have ventilation because there's no way to put a window in as there is an adjoining wall, and I've never had a working ceiling fan in the bathroom since I moved here on 6 March 2020 and because I live in an owners corporation situation I don't know what the regulations are according to law and because I'm totally blind if they want me to sign something to say that I understand what they are giving me permission to do regarding the ceiling, I can't do that as it's very visual! I hope someone at some point can come and evaluate the damaged area and tell me what is needed to repair the plaster so that I can get it back to its former glory before the water damage kicked in! This apartment complex is I'm guessing about 12 years old so it's not surprising that a lot of crap happens here! I really hope you can help me or at least give me a quote and tell me what you can do for me and hopefully you can waterproof the area as well as clean any mouldy bits that are left off, as well as get rid of the old plaster that might still be around so that there is no mould whatsoever!
