Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

We carry five million dollars comprehensive public liability insurance through SGIO. We also guarantee the quality of our work. If you're unhappy just let us know and we'll fix the problem.   To top it off we offer a $500 immediate resolution fund for every job we do. In the unlikely event that we cause some damage to your property we'll fix it within 3 days - whether it's covered by insurance or not.

No need to keep cash on hand.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

We generally don't provide fixed price quotes. More commonly we'll give you an estimate of the number of hours work we think the job requires then we we agree with you on the number of hours we'll work.  If we finish the job earlier than expected then we stop the clock! If the job will take longer than expected we'll discuss it with you. At all times we work hard, give you great results and you only pay for the work we do - no more or less. It's the fairest, most transparent way to work.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Pricing for gardeners ranges from as little as $30/hr for very casual business up to $70/hr for franchisees.  Our standard hourly rate varies from $49 up to $55 depending on how often you use our service (current pricing at June 2014). We actually offer better service than most franchisees, but since we're not a franchise, we can keep our prices lower as we don't need to pay fees to a third party to use their branding.  On the other hand we set our fees high enough that we can run a sustainable professional business using quality equipment. We hope you'll agree that it's false economy to go for the cheapest gardener you can find.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Perth Gardens bills by the hour at a rate of between $49/hr and $55/hr. We work a minimum of 2hrs per gardening job and generally schedule jobs between 2 and 4 hours. We rarely give fixed priced quotes but will happily give estimates of the time we believe is required to complete your gardening.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Although we work across all aspects of gardening & outdoor maintenance we have a particular interest in organic garden & soil management.   We're not militant about it, but our own results have successfully shown that the  best looking gardens often come through the most eco-friendly solutions. And the fact that our methods are safer for your family and pets is a great bonus.
