  I can wholeheartedly recommend Stuart and his team at Enviroline. Stuart has a thoroughly professional approach, is a very good listener, and he and his sub-contractors all deliver work of incredibly high quality. Whenever unexpected issues were found, Stuart was always ready with a number of thoughtful options to ensure the best outcome for me, the client. I found communication with Stuart to be clear and timely, and Stuart was incredibly thorough in his approach to the commercial aspects of our contract. Stuart is a superb example of a thorough and skilled builder, and is a credit to himself and his industry. I'm looking forward to using Stuart again.

  I can't recommend Stuart and his team highly enough. My project was a complete overhaul of a 1980's two bedroom villa. My brief was to create a soothing, calm retreat, and that I wanted quiet quality over anything else. I clearly remember signing the building contract with Stuart in the architect's (Jane Cameron, also fabulous) office where she handed the project management over to Stuart: when Stuart quietly said, 'we're going to do a great job for you' I believed him - from the start, he was completely invested in getting it right, communicating clearly with me, and essentially treating the place like it was his own. The finished product is exactly what I wanted, and Stuart's advice with decisions along the way was invaluable - this is a builder who goes round to the place with his team leader on a Sunday and compares paint swatches and then gets me to come in and pick between narrowed down colours. Like most people, I've heard so many horror stories about renovations that aren't to standard, or run grossly over time, so I feel incredibly lucky that Stuart made sure to chase down every detail and make sure each trade got the job right (even if it meant getting them back several times) and finished on time. Finally, Stuart is incredibly easy to get on with - he can talk to anyone about anything, and he clearly has a strong team with great attention to detail. I wouldn't hesitate to hire the Enviroline team for further or other renovations.

  Having been through my share of traumatic renovations over the years, I can't speak highly enough of Stuart and his team. They executed a substantial renovation inside a tricky and tight envelope of our 1885 terrace house. As is the nature of this kind of project, there are often unexpected obstacles and his team's problem solving capabilities and innovations were invaluable. From the outset he listened and advised fully and frankly. He respected our budget and our instructions. The quality of the workmanship of his team and all the specialists he brought in was first rate, and some five years down the track we couldn't be happier with how it has all turned out.

  We are an architectural practice specialising in residential renovation and additions. We first worked with Stuart Mclean and his team at Enviroline over seven years ago, and they have successfully delivered six of our projects to date, along with another renovation currently in construction. These works have included renovations, restorations, maintenance works, along with extensions. Stuart has extensive experience of working with period homes and all the challenges and complexities that can come with these projects. Stuart is honest, trustworthy, reliable, a great problem solver and his work is to a very high standard. I have no hesitation in recommending Stuart and his team.

  Stuart and his team were amazing in our renovation of a 100-yo heritage listed home. It turned out to be a much bigger project than anticipated, but they put the time and work in and now it’s been published as a case study for Heritage Victoria in how to do a renovation right — no corners cut, quality materials, making sure all the crappy repairs that had been done over the decades were dialled back and done correctly this time around. He was very careful to make sure we understood each intervention he was proposing, why he thought it important, and how much it would cost. Feel very confident recommending him and his foreman Andrew.
