Accepted Answer

Yes, we are insured with Arthur J Gallagher under their Fitness Combined Liability Insurance. We have $20 million public and products liability insurance and $5 million professional indemnity insurance. We guarantee that through working with us individuals will see a minimal improvement of at least 10% in any domain of functioning.

What COVID-19 measures do you have in place?

We take precautions by regularly cleaning all equipment, and by encouraging COVID safe practices, such as hand washing, physical distancing and staying at home when unwell.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I spent several years working on the wrong things, and suffered from generalised fatigue and burnout. Eventually, after much suffering, I put all the things I liked in life into a big pile and built a business structure around them with an underlying esoteric framework. Now I have much more energy.

I love working on a business that has served to combine all the things I am interested in into a cohesive and inspiring structure. I am working on my core purpose. I also love training outdoors. We have great sunsets at Henry Rolland Park.

We encourage customers to ask whatever questions they need to. In particular, we encourage exercise to become enjoyable, sustainable, and a positive habit. The aim is to develop a pattern of healthy and active living that can be maintained over time.

Q: Will I get smashed in personal training? I have heard that it is absolutely brutal! A: It is not necessary to get smashed to make improvements. Training intensity can (and should) vary. Consistency is important. All exercises can be regressed or progressed in difficulty depending on your level.

I am now 41 years of age and have a wealth of life experience which is unlikely to be matched by a young trainer straight out of school. My business is expanding and I am constantly seeking to improve the level of service that I offer. I seek to partner with clients rather than just train them.

I have an integrated approach to helping people that is uncommon in the fitness industry. Note also that you are not just getting a fitness professional - you are also hiring a qualified psychologist with two masters degrees!

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

We really just need to know the customers location and availability in order to provide a quote. In addition, all clients of Sacred Experience need to fill out a registration form and a pre-exercise screening questionnaire before commencing training. This is required for insurance purposes.

1. We encourage customers to think about their fitness goals before commencing work with us, so that they are clear what they would like to get out of the training engagement. 2. Consider getting a check up from a doctor and / or a physio before starting. 3. Take a long-term perspective.

My approach to fitness is unique. No one is offering what I am offering. Despite that we are not excessively priced. We have customer reviews on Google, OneFlare, and on our website.

How do you normally charge for your service?

We have a business model which is membership based. At this stage, I can offer Personal Training sessions for $90 per session, or semi-private training for $35-$40 per session. All memberships are totally personalized and come with a bunch of additional features.

We understand the links between the spiritual, psychological, emotional and physical aspects of helping people achieve their fitness goals. For instance, it is obvious to anyone who has tried to lose weight that it is more than just a mechanical physical process.

Cert III and Cert IV in Fitness. Extra qualifications in Kettle Bell Training, Medball Training, Battle Rope Training, Training pre and post natal clients, Corrective Exercise Specialist and First Aid. Long background in sports and outdoor recreation. Two masters degrees in Coaching and Organisational Psychology.
