  I hired NGJ Construction to renovate my common bathroom shower, which only had 2 tiles popping out. NGJ Construction gave me an attractive offer to renovate the entire shower area with new tiles to the walls, tiles to the floor and new shower screen. After hacking the old tiles, the tradie informed me that there was a leak. He engaged a plumber on his own (without getting my approval) to fix the leak. However, the plumber could not fix the leak because the tradie had already put the tiles up before the plumber attended. The plumber's fee was $1,006 which is a big rip off. After completion, the leak continued from the shower and went into the adjoining bedroom damaging the skirting and the carpet and floorboards. The adjoining bedroom wall was also damaged during the hacking. The tradie has been evasive when I tried contacting him about the leak. He only made contact after I complained about him. He gave a 5 year warranty for his works but is refusing to honour it. His unprofessional response was that his job is only to fix tiles and that the leak is not his problem although he engaged a plumber to complete his job scope. It is unbelievable for a bathroom/shower tiler/renovator to make such a comment and to run away from the problem. Right now, I have had to hire a leak detection company to locate the leak, another plumber to fix the leak, a plasterer to fix up the mess left behind by this negligent and incompetent company. This has caused me thousands of dollars. In addition, I was subjected to intimidation when I was communicating with him. Stay far away from this tradie and save yourself the stress, time, money and a lot of verbal abuse. They don't even deserve a one star.
