• How did you decide to get into your line of work?

  Genuinely always had a love for Painting. Art and believe it or not tiles. I am tile crazy. My Uncle was the New Editor for Channel 9 when I was growing up and being on set and seeing the makeup artist work is what sparked my need to become a Makeup Artist. I never took up TV work as I hated how thick and heavy the makeup had to be for the camera. Working with Brides and their ladies on their special day is seriously such an amazing honour. We are more than a makeup artist on the day. We are emotional support, we read the room and diffuse situations. We hold the hand of the bride, help her breath when she’s nervous. We calm down the mother of the bride. We laugh and cry with everyone. The day is magic and I leave work with such a buzz ams zest for life and family. It’s honestly the best job on the planet. And I am so lucky,

• What do you like most about your job?

  Seeing the reaction to their makeup fills my heart. I don’t do heavy. Or Cakey. My girls look themselves. But a more polished version.
