Job Description: 3 quotes please from Painters; and I will fill in another request form for quotes from ELECTRICIAN. PAINT CEILING 2.5m and reinstall new recessed LED LIGHT to replace old light. When police were summoned to investigate noise in roof space a 2.5m portion of ceiling in passageway collapsed to floor. The attached light fell down with it. Police then asked us to get 3 Quotes which we submitted. A newbie clerk handling such cases made the mistake of just looking at lowest cost and did not realise that his quote only included refitting a new portion of ceiling and nothing else. He has refitted the ceiling as per photos attached but did not paint or attend to light fitting. We are now seeking new quotes from 3 home-repairs-contractors to both paint and refit a new recessed light into the existing newly restored ceiling. I believe the ceiling will require 3 coats of white paint for 2.5m of ceiling. The old light fitting is possibly still connected and lying in the ceiling near to manhole or ceiling hatch. Would you please provide us with 3 official Quotes from Painters for us to present to the Police Department. You may contact me since I am retired and my 2 sons work FIFO.
