12 Feb 2026Location: Penrith, NSWJob Description: Were seeking a professional opinion on whether two new cabinetry units weve purchased can be cleanly modified to suit our vision. Were moving into a new unit at the end of March in Penrith, and we have a 480cm wall where wed like to create a TV unit that visually anchors the room. Our TV is 85 inches (190cm wide), and wed like the finished unit to extend beyond the TV on both sides for balance. We have purchased two Jamil Ash Oak Veneer Sideboards from Koala Living (220cm each). Product details and photos are available here: https://koalaliving.com.au/Jamil-Ash-Oak-Veneer-Sideboard However, I have also attached multiple photos, including our unit layout and mock-ups of the configuration options for your review, which I hope get passed on, if not, please feel free to reach out and ask us to send them again. Our intention is to join and modify these two units into one continuous piece that fits the 480cm wall. Ive attached two possible layout options to show what were hoping to achieve. Were looking for your expert advice on the following: 1. Is this modification structurally and aesthetically feasible, or would you advise against it? 2.
