After weeks of research on what would be a suitable replacement window dressing, I looked into "top-down, bottom-up" blinds, as these let air and light through and block exactly where you need. Ours was to block early morning sun and provide privacy, letting in the breeze. I'm so surprised these aren't in every Australian house as they are far superior to what I had imagined. The product supplied by V Custom Blinds was fantastic. It manages heat penetration and keeps out the cold too. Great blockout, looks great, works wonderfully and was easy to install. I would say an 10/10 for design practicality. These blinds are referred to as Honeycomb or cellular blinds. The service and advice received from V Custom Blinds was beyond my expectation.
