Yes we are fully insured as are our suppliers. Your artwork is guaranteed to match your space and be loved or we will amend it at no extra cost to you. *Some conditions apply with Built-in Art Assets.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

2006, after some 23 years in Graphic Design, Sharron needed a change and was encouraged to study Interior Decorating so she could create artworks tailored to decor for Interior Designers, and she fell in love with Art Styling and after seven years, became a recognised expert and is now a Customised Artwork Specialist.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Caroline and Bruce had experienced difficulties finding a creative decorator for their old Queenslander renovation. We ended up faux finishing ceiling friezes and roses, painting a ceiling mural, correcting their DIY bathtub with Art into Mosaic and completing their decor! The clients plan on using Sharron for a concrete design for their pool, Haymes Artisan walls for their pool room and personalised artworks to tell their story.

How are you different? What are your hourly rates? Is your quote itemised? Will your quotes vary at all? Is your work guaranteed in any way? Are you insured and for what, what industry associations and qualifications do you have and how is freight arranged and what are their insurances. Will you deliver on time, and what happens if anything goes wrong?

For Art and Built-in Art Assets:  What is the artworks' quality?  Sharron Tancred creates gallery quality artworks on custom made canvases. Built-in Art Assets are all QBCC legislations Compliant.  What is the timeframe?  3 weeks - 3 three months pending your needs and our schedule  How do I know I will love it?  We guarantee to match your space and be loved or we will amend it at no extra cost to you.    For Home Renovations and New Builds:  What if I am not sure or cannot visualise what you are suggesting?  We can Photoshop it all into your space for you, and that includes ideas for your landscaping, interior/exterior feature colours, artworks, etc.  Why don't I get a builder to do the whole job?  Builders are typically not trained designers but know only how to build a design which can cause costly errors within space planning, lighting design, functionality, finishes style and feel. Always invest in a professional designer who is right for the job and reap the rewards with livability and resale profit. There is a difference between Interior Design and Building Design and that and Landscape and Pool Design.  How can I trust your design team?  Tailored Artworks has selected our team from referrals, website comparisons and meetings to ascertain aligned values, design beliefs and processes. A good team can take a vision and bring it to life. While you are welcome to bring in your designer, collaboration works best when people like and know one another and think alike.

Sharron has won business awards and spoken professionally to numerous industry bodies, including the Queensland Building Designers Association, Queensland Interior Designers Association, at the Build and Design Center and the Brisbane HIA Home Shows on How Art Works with the Rules of Interior Decor.   Sharron is an Affiliate Member of the Housing Industry Australia, Kitchen and Bathroom Designers Institute and Queensland Interior Decorators Association.  Sharron created Tailored Artworks to be transparent in its quoting system and processes as a significant point of difference to the art world to build trust and to increase heart in built environments through art.

Timeframe, budget, style, if you have a lot of existing artwork and would like help with arranging and hanging it and the scale of your project. It creates excitement and helps them visualise potential!

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Do not buy anything until you receive our DIY decor tips at your Planning Session or until your artwork is delivered as you will likely not need to buy any or many more decor items!  2. If you do not know your style, do not go shopping! Everything begins with understanding your style.  3. If you are building or renovating and need a kitchen, bathroom design or walls moved etc. do not get a builder or a painter to design or colour consult for you. Builders are not necessarily trained in design, a fact that can cost you profit when you sell your property. We select your colours with you according to colour psychology.   Keeping your project within the Tailored Artworks team will save time sourcing multiple suppliers and the headaches that can arise from trying to get a cohesive outcome out of non-cohesive team members.

What makes your pricing competitive?

We research gallery and artisan rates to stay in touch with the market. We believe everyone should be able to afford art and beautiful decor, even if it means a payment plan designed to your needs. Our rates are reasonable as you are dealing directly with the artist and not via a go-between. Feel free to suggest a budget!   Our quoting system is fully itemised and structured so that you only pay for what you want.

How do you normally charge for your service?

All services are pre-quoted based on hourly rates plus materials, supplier services and freight components and GST. For economy, we offer a decorating rate and an artwork and design rate. For decoration items, we pass our trade rates on to you wherever possible and even allow you to pay the decor supplier directly to save our admin fees. Haymes Artisan Feature walls are charged per square meter inclusive of most paints. Our design affiliates have their rates and will quote you directly. Our building advisory service is free to clients.  Clients pay a 50% deposit with the residual pre-delivery or over a monthly payment plan via EFT. Eftpos is available.
