What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Are you qualified and insured?  Do you have a business card?  It is never fun when a trade is hired for a job and it is done badly but they've done the runner and you have no way to find them.  I will always provide my business details when asked.

I definitely know the ins and outs of the trade and being insured and licenced guarantees and trust between the customer

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

Experience and an eye for detail doesn't come out of the blue. It, along with being licensed is a skill in itself. I take pride in my work and believe in the phrase "do it once and do it right."

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

It helps to have a scope. For example is the roof steep? Tiles or metal? More than one storey? The more information that can be given helps in working out things quicker when I quote.

Remember that sometimes cheaper isn't always better. My pricing is competitive in the way that I will have the job done right to eliminate any further issues the right way rather than a quick fix which never lasts.

On what it costs for material and time for labor. There are cases of an hourly rate depending on circumstances. Mostly though I add up the costs and try to give the best quote possible.

15 years of experience from property management and strata work orders, to full Re roofs both commercial and residential. A high standard has always been expected.
