Our philosophy is simple. Natural and seasonal cooking from start to finish. We chop our wood from fallen branches, source seasonal produce from local growers & cook using flame and smoke Influenced by the South American Asado and Southern BBQ, we believe a meal is a ceremonial event. The smells and visuals of fire cooking allows our diners to experience a primal and deeper connection to the food.

    Dan and his crew really made our day. The whole experience was so unique - it was entertaining, authentic, and bloody delicious. I really respect that he does all he can to source ethical, flavoursome, local produce and makes really yummy, nourishing food from what he sources. We got married at Depot Beach in May 2021 - had our ceremony down at the beach, and then walked back to the house for the lunch feast - one that our family and friends will be talking about for years to come. He worked with the space and the environment, engaged with our crew of loved ones and was totally chilled and in his element the whole time. Can't wait for the next party so we can experience Slow Beans & Bones all over again!

    Dan did an awesome job for our wedding out at Bushfield farm, family still carry on about how much they loved the food, it was pretty awesome. I couldn't recommend anyone more was top shelf.

    Dan & the team did a spectacular (& delicious) job of catering our wedding. No easy feat with 120 people including grazing table, mains of the MOST delicious slow cooked meats + sides, and desserts, - plus being from farming background our family has very high meat cooking standards which were well and truly met (even exceeded)! They did such a stellar job my cousin also used them for their wedding. From set up to pack down they were incredible and beautiful people that really added something extra special to our beautiful day.

    Dan & the crew produced amazing food with a super relaxed vibe that fitted with our wedding perfectly. He is easy to work with and was able to work around all requests and requirements to fit the venue and our guests. Highly recommend Dan/Slow Beans and Bones for any wedding or event.

    We had Dan and crew cater for our wedding which was held on our own property. We wanted the food to be a hero of the day and something our guests would walk away and remember. We were not disappointed, our guests got to see the food being cooked on open fire and many commented that it was one of the best meals they have had at a wedding.
