How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Photography is a fabulous way to keep memories and I loved the challenge of trying to get the best images of any place I was in or the people I was with.  I started to win awards nationally and locally so I decided to follow this path into the more commercial world of photography.

Customers should always ask to see the past work of the photographer. Ask what the photographer does about bright light and difficult conditions. Good professional photographers will always submit their work for peer assessment so ask if they have any awards.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Please provide location of the shoot ie  as well as the number of people, approximate number of photos required and the reason for the photos ie birthday, family keepsake or no reason!

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

When supplying information for a quote it is a good idea to let the photographer know how many people will be involved in the shoot as well as whether you want it indoors, in a studio or outdoors.

What makes your pricing competitive?

My prices are very reasonable for the quality that you will get.  There will be cheaper quotes but you may not be getting high quality images. Images are keepsakes and gorgeous, flattering images will be treasured beyond a life time.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Charges are variable depending on number of people and number of photos required. Be specific in your quote and I will give you a total price for the images supplied at low and medium to high resolution. Prints can be supplied at an extra cost.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I specialise in outdoor portraits and weddings as well as events. I also welcome other commercial jobs such as real estate or photography for websites or Facebook. My minimum for an outdoor wedding is $330 for the first hour and $120 per hour after that. For events it is $250 for the first hour and $120 for every hour following. My photos are fully edited and taken with love.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

My experience in photography includes portraits, weddings and event photography. I have won many international awards. To be recognised for my work on an international scale is an acknowledgment that the quality of my work is high. I bring this understanding and experience to your portrait photography.
