Yes we have full professional liability insurance , just in case a mistake is made . That is why i do the work and dont hire anybody to do building inspections.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

After having 100 employees , I needed to do something much more simple ,with more freedom. I can take a day off whenever I want.

Often I get calls from older people who need some jobs done on their house, Some trades people can be untrustworthy and i love letting them know what needs to be repaired ,not what the trades person says needs to be done.

I like helping people and the freedom of my job. An office job is not for me. Melbourne's traffic has become terrible.

They should ask , how long in business and most important do they have professional liability insurance. (this is very difficult to get unless you are qualified)

Is the property worth buying ? I tell them what money needs to be spent on the property and then its their decision.

Always on time ,I born in Melbourne, l like helping people ,always had my own business. Make sure there are no mistakes .

I am and ex builder , have been in business for 10 years and over 6000 inspections. I have inspected EVERY TYPE OF HOUSE over the years so I know what Im doing. Not a franchisee or an employee doing the inspection .

We need to know the address and how many bedrooms and bathrooms. We also need to know when the inspections needs to be done.

See if there are anything about the property that concerns them. Do they have any renovation ideas in the future.

I have very little overheads so i can keep my prices low, they havent changed in 10 years. Most now are $100 to $200 more than us.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Charges have been the same for 10 years $495 for average houses and $595 for bigger houses, this is for a complete building and timber pest inspection including GST  NO EXTRA CHARGES FOR SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT USED. Other jobs just quoted over the phone.

I like helping people , so renovation advice or problem solving is a strong point.Love to find cover ups from vendors.

Ex builder , have built and renovated many houses over the years. I have a proper pest licence not just a 3 day inspection course like most building inspectors have now.
