Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

Yes my business is insured with VERO Mobile Business Insurance for any accidents or mishaps that could occur but is mostly unlikely. I do guarantee my work, if customer is not happy we can do a reshoot if necessary. This would need to be discussed and negotiated. I have never had an unhappy customer.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I needed a sea change in my career, although I have always worked directly with customers in an administrative field. Photography had been and interest an a hobby for many years before I decided to become professional. I am also a member of our local camera club, my fellow members give a lot of support, as well as having my critiqued each month by judges from the South Australian Photographic Federation, (SAPF).

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Meeting Lyndal was coincidental yet inevitable, as though we did not know each other before our wedding preparations;   Lyndal became a direct choice as a result of the integrity of her communications with us. People sometimes call us the Brady Bunch but are now known as the Clarke Tribe.

What do you like most about your job?

The interaction I have with clients and some become great friends.  I do have returning customers which is wonderful.  I love to produce quality photos to make an everlasting memory to last a lifetime.

I would ask to see some of their previous work to get an idea of what they can produce as a photographer.

Most people want to know price first up.  I like to meet with my prospective clients to show them what I can do for them and also take time to get to know them a little to see if we are a good match.

I am very honest and reliable. You can take a look at my website and check the testimonials of clients I have worked for. I aim to please and have a very good record so far, I have had police checks done of which I can produce if necessary.

Your Wedding or other special occasion will be given professional but personal attention to every detail, in a manner that is second to none.  Whether you're looking for simple elegant portraits poised and posed or candid, I would love to work with you.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Dates, location, how many people will be involved.  I need to have plenty of time to prepare so as much notice prior to the event as possible. I usually ask a minimum of 6 weeks to plan and prepare for a wedding and approximately 2 weeks for a family portrait or any other photographic work.

It's a good idea to know and research exactly what you are wanting this will save me a lot of un necessary ground work and running around.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I have done market research in my field and collaborated with other professionals to work out what is the best price to charge as well as adding value to my work due to my expertise. I am no means the cheapest but not the most expensive either. I value my clients and don't take any shortcuts, you will receive quality and value for money.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

I ask for a deposit to be paid either by cash or EFT bank transfer. I issue a 7 day invoice to be paid on completion of the work that is done. We can also arrange.for a payment plan if you would.prefer.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I mainly specialise in Wedding and Portraits for families or individuals as well as corporate headshots for company advertising and marketing, but I am open to any photography job large or small.

I have approximately 10 years experience as a photographer. I have many weddings under my belt as well as portraits , my husband also a photographer of 30 plus yrs experience works with me as second shooter. We work together as a team to give you a great experience. I am a member of our local camera club and have been for many years. I have been the President of the club for 3 years now. We have our work judged and critiqued regularly every month for our club competitions. Some of my work has been in the Adelaide Wedding Pages Magazine, two years in a row.
