How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Kerin had always wanted to be a Celebrant and after many years in the corporate world, became a Celebrant in 2010. Joy, her sister would go to all the weddings and assist with the organisation. We both just love weddings. Joy them completed her course and became a celebrant and Celebrant Sisters was born.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

A bride contacted us to ask we would consider letting her Mother In Law conduct the ceremony, we explained we have no problem, although we had to do the legal sections. Apparently she had spoken to a number of Celebrants and they said it was too hard. Celebrant Sisters will consider any request.

What do you like most about your job?

We love weddings and working with couples to make sure their wedding is everything they have dreamed of. it is their day and they need to be happy with every aspect of the day. On the day we love to make sure everyone is at ease and with 2 of us, there is always one to organise and calm everyone down.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

They really need to meet with us to see if we get on and are suited to each other. They should never book a celebrant before meeting and discussing their needs. We always offer an obligation free meeting to get to know one another. Always check prices for any hidden costs. Our quotes are always inclusive of everything required.

What documents do I need and how much notice to you require. Require 1 month notice and Birth Certificate and passport or drivers License. Couple must be over 18 years old. If either or both have been married, need to see documentation from divorce or death certificate.

We have to meet exacting standards before being accepted by the Attorney Generals dept to be a Celebrant. Kerin was required to submit references that were very specific about reliability professionalism and honesty. We are always up front with our costs, no hidden costs come up later.

We make all our ceremonies unique, we write about the couple and it is all original, we do not get pre-written templates from the internet or from books. We take pride in our work and our originality. Let's face it, we love what we do and it shows in our work. We go out of way to meet the special requests for our couples and also have lots of great ideas to include in the ceremony

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

The location, date and time. These are the most important. Any special requirements they have also, example: will need celebrant to supply witnesses, will need a letter from celebrant for Immigration dept.

Shop around and look for the best for the budget you have. Set your budget and stick to it Do as much as you can yourself. Always meet with any service providers (Including your celebrant) before booking them in. We try to assist with budget ideas. When you do so many weddings, you pick up great ideas and we love to share these our couples.

Being the best. We love to make every ceremony unique. If you have always had a dream wedding in your mind, we want that dream to come true. We love to push the boundaries and look outside the square. We supply a Sand ceremony or any other ritual or ceremony within the ceremony in our price if couple would like.
