Unless you have money to burn and don't care about your stuff being banged about - Do NOT use K&M Removals!!! We had a 1pm booking, which we confirmed the day before. After they haven't shown up we called them and they said that the job they were at was running overtime. They gave us the time they thought they would get to us, however that time came and went! Finally they arrived...3 HOURS LATER!! It was now peak hour so we had to move during the time people were coming home from work. As we were in a multi story block of units this meant there were long wait times for the lifts, costing us much more than if they had shown up on time at 1pm! It also meant that moving went on much later after dark. When we mentioned this, they were rudely and threatened to offload everything off the truck and that we can hire someone else - knowing full well that we wouldn't be able to hire someone else at such short notice! If K&M Removals cannot cope with 2 bookings on one day they shouldn't book 2 - it's not fair to the second booking if the first is taking longer than expected! Generally, the 2 guys took their time and one of them seemed inexperienced, so much so that we had to help load some things onto the lift with them. They then said that if there was any damage they would not cover it as we were helping - however, if they showed up on time and actually were working at a suitable pace for the expensive amount that they charge, we wouldn't have needed to help them! When it was time to pay they then surprised us with additional costs to 'get them back to the depot' - even though we were told when booking that the cost is 'door-to-door'. They then proceeded to claim that we should count ourselves lucky as what we were paying was apparently discounted and most of their other customers pay much more. This was not the case, we were paying the quoted rate and never asked for a discount. And what others can afford to pay is their business, it doesn't mean that everyone can afford to. repliedK&M Removals24 Oct 2021
Hi, Carlee thank you for your feedback, I do understand that the workers come late, however this does happen at times when one job goes over because of the amount of properties a client has. We were very clear in communicating this to you and we apologised for the late arrival. As per policy we do not allow client to do any lifting or moving because they payed for a service. The feedback we got was you were rushing workers to do the job quickly, they reported that back to us, we wrote an email stating that though we understand the late start, however it important to take good care of your properties. We are sorry for your experience however your properties were not damaged, everything was delivered safely to your new property. Please understand with Lockdown as well were short of workers due to unforeseen circumstances. People don’t have money to burn but we would appreciate if you are truthful in saying you didn’t want to spend much and you wanted to rush the job to minimise cost, however we would not allow that because items are expensive and it would not be fair to rush the job, damage the property and the house walls in the process simply because you are rushing. at KM removals we understand the value of people property and that is why we don’t rush the job to ensure people don’t incur unnecessary cost to repair walls and any other damages. Thank you, but one feedback from us please ensure you don’t rush removalist because next time you will find a company that only money drive and no care for your properties, they will damage properties and you will incur cost to fix everything.
