  Told me at leasrt 30 hors of cleaning to do talking about $2000 eztra dollars, told me that the unit was full of mould which was only dirt, ladies went to buy masks because so bad and when i got back to see mould they were not wearing them instead drinking coffee, and left 40 mins later only doing 1/2 room and and 1/2 kitchen and not doing carpet cleaning, tried to ring boss wouldn't take call so I had do all of the cleaning and had to find carpet clearner in 2 hours So not very happy

  Hi Lyn, Thank you for your feedback. As a small family- run business, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our service offering and standards. Whilst appreciating your comments, these provide an inaccurate version of events. In this instance, I asked you in our initial conversation to send me photographs of your property. You did not send these and we therefore accepted your job on the mutual understanding that the property was 'in a good condition'. In hindsight, we should have cancelled your job, with appropriate notice, and not proceeded further given we had not received the photos. Upon arrival, the team discovered extensive Black Mould on walls, skirting boards, inside cupboards, in window tracks, on screen doors and in many other places. Furthermore, carpets were damp in places and there were bird faeces. My team assessed the situation and sent me several videos and photographs within a short time of being there. I then contacted you and discussed that the clean would take a lot longer than we envisioned as the condition was not as described. I also mentioned that the state of the home presented an OH&S risk to my team who had attended and were unprepared to clean a home like yours. You were presented with two options. The first option was that we continue cleaning but that there would need to be an additional charge due to the time involved. This was estimated at 20 man-hours. The second option was that we complete the agreed hours and do the best we could. You agreed to the second option as you didn't wish to pay anything extra. We did not feel easy about accepting your decision, however, we accepted this as we wanted to leave you with the greatest possible time to find an alternative cleaning team. I acknowledge you tried to contact me. I was busy at the time you called, however, soon after, I tried to call you multiple times but you didn’t answer. This review is the first contact we have received following this which is disappointing. We have photographs which we could share of the mould, and the extensive work completed by the team in the 8 hours they spent at your home. Sadly, we cannot upload them here. I appreciate that you are disappointed and understand it was not an ideal situation. This is the first time we haven't been able to complete a job. We did, however, believe that we did the right thing by doing the best possible job in the time provided. You were left with sufficient time to make alternative arrangements, but you said you wanted to clean the home yourself. I apologise for the lengthy response. We do not wish to be combative, but hope it is informative to others who read your review.

  We, David and Teshani, stumbled into this line of work by chance. After struggling through the first 2 years of parenthood (or sleep deprivation), we decided that we needed a pair of extra hands around the house that used eco-friendly products. We struggled to find a cleaner, and when we did, they were unreliable and used harmful products. It was at this juncture that we decided to found Just About Cleaning. We believe that cleaning is far more than just a job, it's a career that is loaded with potential, flexibility and job satisfaction. It is also an opportunity to have a positive impact on the environment and the health of those around us. As we also own an Eco-Friendly and Australian Made Women's Fashion Label, it was important to us that we used natural cleaning products from the outset within this business. Our natural cleaning products not only help us to clean your home, but they also help it shine. They allow us to do so without emitting harmful chemicals into the environment. Many commercial cleaners rely on harsh and dangerous chemicals to get the job done, including volatile organic compounds, or VOCs. These are linked to a range of medical issues, including respiratory issues, allergic reactions, sensitive skin and headaches.
