yes we are insured for 10 million public liability  and of course all our work is guaranteed but we have not had any major problems to date .

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

We kind of fell into it like most our landlady who lived downstairs was so impressed with how clean we kept our house that she asked could we clean a retirement home she was manageing . Then my brother who was working in a nightclub said the owners were looking for a new cleaner as they werent happy with the current one.They were more than impressed as they had a lot of brass which had never been cleaned.It transformed the whole place .Then we picked up family and friends houses and had friends who needed work and suddenly without advertising we had a full time buisness .

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Yes we have had several clients with previous cleaners who would turn up on whatever day suited them and did whatever they felt like .They would clean out cupboards when the kitchen bathrooms and floors were a bomb or wash dry and fold clothes instead of cleaning or just clean one bathroom and dust leaving everything else a mess and because of the longterm close relationship did not want to say anything .Then finally they called us and could not believe the difference .We turn up on the same day we cleaned and polished bathrooms kitchen floors and dusted.One busy lady who worked and spent all her spare time before and after school taking kids to activities and whos husband worked twelve hour days said she always took time on cleaning day to pour a glass of wine sit down and just look at her sparkling clean house.

What do you like most about your job?

Definitely the satisfaction we get from all the hard work that we and our staff put in and the attention to detail.  On seeing the end result gives us pride in our work and knowing that we have made someones life a little bit easier .  And of course the customer satisfaction and the positive feedback we recieve in our attempts to exceed expectations .  We also dont mind the hard work, some of our staff say they have never been fitter .

What experience have you had .  We have been in buisness for the past thirty years and have learnt quite a bit about hiring the right staff ,the right products and equipment .also on proper cleaning procedures and coordinating the work so our work is efficient and saves us time and you money.  Does the cleaner understand my needs.  We usually do a site inspection and supply a quote prior to the start of the clean.By talking to us and expressing your needs and concerns we are able to assess the kind of cleaning you require i.e.if you dont have time to tidy the kids rooms up you might tell us we will probably have to do that so we can factor that in .Likewise you may be over them and tell us to just shut the door and they can deal with it . Or you may tell us your incredibly fussy about the dusting and can we please move your daughters fifty bottles of perfume dust under them and the dust them as well and put them back ,thats ok as long as we know we can again factor that in .  A talk prior to cleaning can reassure you that we understand your needs and have been cleaning for all sorts of people for the last 30yrs.  Also do we supply our own products and equipment.  Of course we do our staff are trained in the use of all our products and equipment making it more efficient.  And finally yes we are insured .

Kitchens-benchtops scrubbed wiped clean                -sink cleaned                -stove top cleaned                 -range hood surface cleaned                 -splashback cleaned                 -tiles cleaned and polished                  -fronts of cupboards cleaned polished                 -front of oven and fridge cleaned polished                  -microwave cleaned inside and out                     Floors-all floors vacuumed and mopped with neutral cleaner  General-all surfaces dusted includes bannisters             -all dining coffee tables wetwiped and polished              -laundry basin cleaned surfaces cleaned   This is a general guide things can be added or taken away as required. What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

Generally we try to turn up at the same time each clean and on the same day, sometimes though during school holidays and on public holidays or if you or other  clients need us to come earlier or later due to painters or plumbers or whatever reason then we can be flexible.  Due to the level supervision and training we aim for our cleaning to be consistantly high as all of our current clients both longterm and those who have recently come on board have come to rely on .  Trust is something that i try to build on at every opportunity .trust is the backbone of my buisness ,its what i instill in to my staff and what i strive for with my clients .Its important that you know i will turn up and do my best and i will make sure my staff do their best and i will do my best for them .

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

Several reasons first of all we listen to your needs.So many of our new clients would tell us that despite repeated attempts at notifying the cleaners of missed or poorly cleaned items nothing was rectified or it was for a short time only.We really listen and convey your needs to our staff. The second thing is that our teams of between three and five staff on any given job are supervised by my wife or myself or a nominated supervisor who checks that all has been done correctly and also coordinates the work. Thirdly all staff are police checked and given proper training by my wife and also trained in nsw government ohs rules.  And last of all we provide all products and equipment which makes us more efficient and saves you money.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

The usual things are.   --Is it a house or unit or other  --How many storeys  --How many bedrooms  and bathrooms  --Do you have children ,how many   --Do you have pets . how many   --What type of clean i.e regular weekly or fortnightly . one off end of lease ,or spring clean  --When do you need us to do the clean   --What suburb   --Anything specific you want us to do like the oven or fridge inside and out .  --A site inspection is usually the best idea so we can talk to you about your specific needs and visually asses the work to be done.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Be specific about your needs so we are not doing to much or to little .  If you do a little bit of tidying up before we come if you dont have time then we will have factor that into the cost  . Likewise with your kitchen, if it has been cleared then we can have a good run through but if there are dirty pots pans dishes in the sink this will slow us down

What makes your pricing competitive?

If you are being charged $45.00 p/h i think that is to much.  If you are being charged $25.00 p/h or less then your cleaners will be uninsured and rushing the job which will be generally unsatisfactory and you will get what you pay for. .  I believe $35.00 dollars plus gst is a reasonable price considering we are insured, our staff are  supervised on the job and trained by us . we also provide all products and equipment which makes us more efficient and saves you money.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Our rate is $35.00 plus gst per man hour i.e 4 man hrs is $140.00 for basic maintenance  i.e to give you a rough idea of what we do and we are flexible.  kitchen --- benchtops , sinks , front cupboards ,stove top ,front of oven , splashback ,microwave inside and out  ,empty reline bins ,fridge exterior and anything else you may require.  bathrooms--scrub clean shower inside remove scum mould  ,clean and polish exterior shower screen  ,clean vanity top basin fronts of cupboards  ,disinfect clean toilets and surrounds  ,scrub bathtubs spas  ,empty and reline bins .  Floors-- vacuum mop with neutral floor cleaner .  All general dusting   Clean wetwipe coffe tables bedside tables dining tables sideboards bannisters tv cabinets etc   Laundries --tubs , top of washer dryer if on floor ,fronts of cupboards   Real estate cleans are $ 45.00 per man hr plus gst include all the above but we also do inside all cupboards wardrobes all draws vacuumed and wet wiped or scrubbed, can also include oven clean inside and out ,light fittings and spot clean or full wash walls ,and anything else that may be required .

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

The knowledge gained over the last thirty years include  --Usage of products i.e some work some dont we have the products that work including some green products that we make up ourselves.  --Finding the right staff and training them properly as they are our greatest asset.  --Using the right equipment for the job i.e.back pack vacuums with the right suction are a faster more efficient  way to clean saving us time and you money.Mop heads that are the right  size and quality so they dont leave bits all over your floors and do not leave excess water behind.  The use of microfibre cloths which are great for dusting and polishing most surfaces.  A professional  and courteous approach with likeminded staff and respect to your personal space and the work we do there .
