I engaged Crossover Law to help bring my tattoo artists to Australia. I trusted the advice I was given and made major financial and business decisions based entirely on that guidance. I started the process in October last year after paying for a $400 consultation, and by April I had gotten nowhere. The information I received was not accurate, and the delays and slow responses had a significant emotional and financial impact on me. I was advised that a Subclass 482 visa would be possible at a salary of around $70,000. I later learned this is not legally possible for a Skill Level 4 occupation, and that the only available 482 pathway requires a minimum salary of $150,000+. I had already taken out a loan and committed funds based on the advice I received. I also paid a substantial amount to apply for three Subclass 400 visas, all of which were refused. I now understand that the 400 visa is not suitable for Skill Level 4 occupations, and the refusal reasons reflected this. These applications were only lodged because I was advised to pursue that pathway. On top of this, I paid almost $5,000 to become an approved sponsor and spent around $1,000 on job advertisements. I later learned that neither of these steps were required for the visa options that were actually viable. I would not have spent any of this money if I had been given accurate advice from the beginning. Throughout the process, responses to my queries often came only in their own time, with no sense of urgency despite the impact on my business. These delays added to the stress and contributed to decisions being made far later than they should have been. These issues weren’t just administrative setbacks. They affected my planning, my finances, and ultimately contributed to the closure of my business. The emotional toll of relying on advice that turned out to be incorrect was significant. I’m sharing my experience so others can make informed decisions when choosing representation. *****Here is my response to your response***** Thank you for your response. I stand by every part of my review. Your reply does not address the specific issues I raised, including the advice I relied on, the unnecessary costs I incurred, and the six months of delays that left me with no viable pathway. The guidance I received — both verbal and written — was heard not only by me but by others present at the time. To suggest that this advice was never provided does not reflect what actually occurred. I became an approved sponsor, ran job advertisements, and lodged three Subclass 400 visas solely because your office advised me to do so. I later learned that none of these steps were required or suitable for the circumstances. These were not independent business decisions; they were direct responses to the guidance I was given. Your response does not engage with any of these points. My review reflects my genuine experience and the significant financial and operational impact it had on my business. I stand by it. repliedCrossover Law Group Pty Ltd14 Apr 2026
We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your experience and understand your disappointment with the outcome of your matter. However, we do not accept that the advice referred to in your review was provided by our office. Our advice was responsive to evolving circumstances throughout the engagement. Migration outcomes are determined by the Department of Home Affairs in light of many restrictions placed by the department as well as other bodies. No outcome can be guaranteed. We remain committed to providing clear and professional immigration advice navigating the complexities of this area.Mariam K

There are no words to even describe the gratitude I have towards Marial and Tiara for helping me through such a complicated visa situation. I honestly felt hopeless, stressed and lost at the beginning after being rejected by some other lawyers. I am so grateful that I found Marial, she’s amazing at what she’s doing and most importantly, her confidence, which really ease my mind and made me feel supported the whole way through, which meant a lot to me. I really appreciate everything you’ve done — couldn’t have gotten through it without you. Highly recommend! repliedCrossover Law Group Pty Ltd14 Apr 2026

Crossover Law provided fantastic service in assembling a complex visa application for my partner. They carefully guided us on selection and preparation of supporting documentation and combined that with a meticulously prepared application package. Not only was the application successful, but the visa was granted much faster than we thought possible. Special thanks to Tiara for overseeing our case with support from Marial and the rest of the Crossover Law team. repliedCrossover Law Group Pty Ltd14 Apr 2026
