Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

I am insured, as its critical that should anything happen while I am in your home, on location or in the studio that I am able to make sure all will be covered. I guarantee that if you don't love your images, you don't have to buy any! And as a member of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photographers) you can be guaranteed that my work is professional, as I have been independently assessed and my work considered of the high quality required to be a member.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I started just taking photos of my holidays and friends, and found I had quite the eye for it. I took a couple of courses in photography and photoshop. Then when my eldest baby was born. I loved taking photos of him and it just grew from there.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I first spoke with M on the phone & she was so exited to capture her baby girl, she'd just come home from the hospital & baby was on oxygen. I was able to re-assure her that we could work around this & capture her baby as she was. Such a lovely family, such a relaxed session too.

What do you like most about your job?

Accepted Answer

I love tiny squishy new babies, so fresh and pure. Newborn babies are such a great way to start people. I love capturing that glow and joy of a family who've just met this tiny little person. I honestly smile the whole time I go through the photos as its just magic captured.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Are you insured? Are your immunisations up to date? How long have you been in business? Are your first aid skills up to date? Do you print images so I don't have to worry about that? Is your photographer a member of the professional association for photographers - the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP) - because I am!

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Can you give me images on a disc/USB? Yes my packages include images for social sharing, and whatever images you purchase, a backup printable file to that size will be provided. I usually provide printed products. My clients quickly see the value in my providing the products to them because they realise that then the end up with what I capture in camera, that is edited and perfect on-screen and online, as flowing through to the products that they display in their homes.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I have been photographing newborns for 5 years, and I have two young children of my own. I absolutely adore what I do and strive to make sure that all my clients receive the best service possible

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

Accepted Answer

Because I don't leave you with a USB of images and expect you to do all the work yourself. I help you work out what you would love to do with your images and make it happen! That $300. $400, or even $500 newborn session really costs a lot more if you don't get prints done, I include prints and at the end of the day, all inclusive means no work for you.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

What sort of session are you after, Newborn, Baby or Family? When is your baby due? Did you want to have maternity photos taken too? When would you like to have your session? Who is going to be in the photos? Where would you like to have your session? What have you done with photos in the past? What would you like to do with photos taken by me? Do you know I come to you for newborn and baby sessions? Did you know that your newborn photographer should be vaccinated? How important is it to you that your newborn photographer is a registered insured business that is accredited by the Australian Institute of Photography?

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Book me in before you have your baby, nothing like present to make sure you don't miss out on a session. And you lock in your pricing too. Have a think about where you'd like to display images in your home, and you'll save money because you won't have to do anything after we've had our session. It can seem cheaper to print yourself, but it isn't worth it in the long run.

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

I currently offer my clients the option of a complimentary round wooden print or float mount print with sessions booked with me, valued at $250 when they book via Oneflare.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I offer a huge value advantage because I offer a full service. You have a session with me and at the end of it you have images; whether that be canvas, metal art prints, wooden prints, prints, or albums in your hand ready to display. I do all the work for you, a complete one stop shop.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I charge an up front $150 session fee, then we have the session and you don't purchase a package up front as you only need to buy what you love.

I am a specialist Adelaide Newborn photographer, in both posed and lifestyle newborn sessions. I also adore capturing family moments and baby photography too. They all grow up so fast!

I am First Aid training, Newborn safety is my first priority. I am insured and I have trained with top newborn photographers from around Australia and the world. Your baby and family's safety is very important to me. I am also a member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers - the AIPP. So you know you're going to be getting a qualified professional.
